Art Deco Tall Green Glazed Pitcher Vase by Shorter and Son
The Story
This stunning green pitcher, by Shorter & Son is a fantastic example of Art Deco design. Its tall, tapered "chimney" shape and ribbed texture give it a very modern, architectural feel that collectors of 1930s, West German or Scandinavian-style pottery would adore.
Dressed in a vibrant emerald-to-sage green ombré glaze, its surface is defined by tactile horizontal ribbing and beautiful vertical "drip" accents that catch the light beautifully. With its elegant high-reaching handle and tapered silhouette, it’s a pretty statement piece whether displayed as a standalone sculpture or used to hold a single, dramatic dried stem.
